Aurelia Research (Bermuda) Limited improves service offering with Microsoft .NET™ framework and XML.

Background

Aurelia Research (Bermuda) Ltd. is a Bermuda-based, Swiss-owned financial services firm that specializes in providing extensive, high-end private wealth management services. 

Aurelia Research (Bermuda) Ltd. identified the need for a dynamic, multilingual site through which investors would have a clear vision of Aurelia and up-to-date information on the products that Aurelia supplies as investment vehicles.

The Challenge

Developing an attractive and dynamic, yet cost-effective tool that would reduce operating costs and increase customer service levels online was a challenge for Aurelia. Their existing platform slowed development time and made administration difficult. The existing solution lacked the flexibility required for the updating of mutual fund information and fluctuating prices. Competition in the financial marketplace was growing and to satisfy their international customers, Aurelia needed an international multilingual site. With the requirements in mind, we recommended a platform that would ensure flexibility for growth, expansion and integration. Using the Microsoft .NET Framework and emerging XML technologies, we were confident that this first ever Bermuda production-level Microsoft .NET Framework solution would meet all Aurelia's needs.

The Solution

To re-brand Aurelia's site to reflect the world-class reputation the company had established — The creative element was unveiled in a print marketing campaign. The new site was built on a Microsoft .NET platform to take advantage of the quick development time and ability to add new functionality for both visitors and content administrators.

We chose Microsoft .NET for the tools it offered, which would both enable us to accelerate development schedules, and allow Aurelia to reduce operating costs. Future integration into yet to be developed partner systems were made possible by the open standards nature of the Microsoft .NET Framework and the flexibility offered by XML Web Services.

Building an international and multilingual site provides Aurelia with competitive advantages in their sector. Enabling Aurelia to publish critical information satisfies the need to provide the user with the latest research reports and fund performance highlights. Aurelia's ability to easily add new functionality and provide research reports to customers across any platform is another advantage, which will ensure Aurelia continues as leaders in their sector. The solution offered a platform for growth, upon which XML Web services can be built as required to support Aurelia's changing business and the customers they support.
