RBC Insurance provides a complete range of insurance solutions to more than two million customers. Using agents, direct and airline reservation channels, RBC Insurance provides home and auto, life and health, travel, creditor and reinsurance products for customers.

The Challenge

Maintaining market position and continued growth required RBC Insurance to review their operational and technology practices. In order to achieve the desired business goals, existing processes and systems required streamlining and updating.

RBC Insurance chose to focus on empowering agents and customers rather than disintermediation. The WorldProtect ™ ; solution would allow agents and customers to receive quotes, make purchases, change policies and information and reinstate travel insurance policies.

The Solution

Cyberplex provided operations and technology expertise to build a multi-lingual solution that increased channel effectiveness while reducing costs:

  • Created an integrated way to access company systems to allow agents and customers to receive quotes, purchase products and service policies.
  • Agency specific customization was implemented that allowed agents to acquire and service customers more effectively.
  • Developed sales channel capabilities for more than 700 agencies and 3,500 travel counsellors.
